reply 2025 Beijing Convention and Exhibition Roundtable: Conventions and Exhibitions Empowering Urban Indu

On January 11, as the first event of the year 2025 for Beijing's convention and exhibition industry, the 2025 Beijing International Convention and Exhibition Organization Roundtable (hereinafter referred to as the “Convention and Exhibition Roundtable”) focused on empowering the development of urban industry and boosting urban consumption. Fifteen international exhibition authorities from CCPIT, UFI, IAEE, etc. focused on “how exhibition can empower the development of urban industry” and “how the exhibition industry can drive urban consumption” for the Beijing exhibition industry under the new business environment. The roundtable was organized by Beijing Trade and Exhibition Bureau (BTEC).Co-organized by Beijing Council for the Promotion of International Trade (BCPT), Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Beijing Shunyi District Government and BICC, the Roundtable will feature meetings, study tours and a night of convention and exhibition. During the conference and exhibition roundtable, the launching ceremony of BICC's professional committee on conference and exhibition industry was held.The conference and exhibition roundtable will start from three aspects to explore the driving function and promoting role of the conference and exhibition industry. Firstly, it focuses on the role of conventions and exhibitions in empowering the development of urban industries and driving urban consumption. Convention and exhibition is an important carrier for the implementation of the strategic positioning of the capital city, and an important bridge connecting production and consumption, supply and demand, and international and domestic markets. The roundtable will focus on the development of new productivity and vigorously boosting consumption, invite global leaders in the convention and exhibition industry to discuss the development trend of the convention and exhibition industry under the new situation and the focus of the development of Beijing's convention and exhibition industry, gather the wisdom of the industry, issue cutting-edge voices, and offer advice and suggestions for Beijing's development.Secondly, the viewpoints of domestic and foreign industry experts play a strong leading role. In addition to the heads of international exhibition organizations and industry institutions such as the International Association of the Exhibition Industry and the International Association of Exhibitions and Programs, the local conference and exhibition roundtable also includes the heads of government authorities and trade promotion agencies such as the Ministry of Commerce, CCPIT, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Singapore Tourism Board Exhibition and Convention Bureau, as well as the heads of globally renowned conference and exhibition enterprises such as France's Zhi Ao and the United Kingdom's Reed Exhibitions, which involves China, the U.S., the U.K., Germany, France, Singapore and other 10 countries and regions, which is a recognition of the global exhibition industry's influence on Beijing's exhibitions and also shows that international exhibitionists have a favorable outlook on the Chinese market.Thirdly, various thematic activities were carefully designed to promote exchanges, cooperation and common development. In addition to the roundtable, delegates and guests visited the Capital International Convention and Exhibition Center (New China International Exhibition II), Luo Hong Photography Art Museum and conducted field investigation and research, which helped the upstream and downstream cooperation of the convention and exhibition industry chain, continued to expand the comprehensive driving effect of the convention and exhibition industry, and pushed forward the high-quality development of the convention and exhibition industry.In recent years, Beijing has successively created the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), Zhongguancun Forum, Beijing Culture Forum, Financial Street Forum, China Beijing International Science and Technology Industry Expo (Beijing Science and Technology Expo) and other branded convention and exhibition activities, and Beijing's influence in the international convention and exhibition industry has been further strengthened. This conference and exhibition roundtable aims to strengthen the exchange and cooperation with internationally renowned conference and exhibition organizations and industry institutions, attract internationally renowned exhibitions and enterprises and institutions in line with the functional positioning of the capital to land in Beijing, and further promote the construction of Beijing as an international consumption center city.
