Russia's pipeline gas supplies to China will reach 100 billion cubic meters per year in the future, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told a meeting of the Federation Council to discuss government issues, TASS reported on November 22nd.

By the end of this year, we plan to reach 22 billion cubic meters, and we will reach 38 billion cubic meters in 2025," he said. Another project for a Far East route with a capacity of 10 billion cubic meters of gas per year is being implemented. The 'Power of Siberia 2' gas pipeline project is under consultation, which will pass through Mongolia and will have an annual capacity of 50 billion cubic meters. Thus, the total volume of gas supplies in this direction will amount to about 100 billion cubic meters (per year)."

At the same time, Gazprom President Alexei Miller earlier noted that in the next few years Gazprom's gas exports to China will total 48 billion cubic meters per year, and with the addition of the gas pipeline passing through Mongolia, it will amount to about 100 billion cubic meters per year.
